N-GON Interactive Inc. publishes the website at https://ngon.gg. This policy explains what that website does and does not do with your information. “We”, “us” and “our” mean N-GON Interactive Inc.
The short version: this website collects nothing about you. It is a set of static files. There is no account system, no registration, no newsletter, no comment section and no contact form. The site does not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated to say so. The only way we learn anything about you is if you decide to send us an email.
This policy covers the website only. It does not cover our games, or the storefront pages for those games on Steam, the App Store, Google Play and itch.io, or the social accounts and the blog we link to. Those are run by other companies under their own privacy policies, and where one of our games collects anything it will say so in its own listing.
Consent
By using this website you accept this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the website.
You will not see a consent banner here. That is not an oversight. There is nothing to consent to, because nothing is being collected or stored on your device.
Information we collect
Through the website itself, we collect nothing. Every page is built in advance and served as a plain file. There is no database behind it and no code of ours running on a server that could receive anything you type.
The only personal information we hold is information you choose to send us. The contact page lists three addresses: press@ngon.gg, business@ngon.gg and contact@ngon.gg. Each one is an ordinary mail link, so selecting it opens your own email program rather than sending anything through this site. If you write to us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, whatever you put in the message, and any attachment you include.
We also hold anything you send us on the social platforms we link to, in the same way any account holder does. That is held on those platforms, under their policies, not on ours.
One thing is unavoidable. To deliver a page to you, the company that hosts our files has to receive the request your browser makes. That request contains your IP address and standard technical details such as your browser type and the page you asked for. This is how the web works, and it applies to every website you have ever visited.
How we use your information
If you email us, we use what you sent for one purpose: to read it and to reply to it. Depending on the address you wrote to, that means answering a press question, discussing a business matter, or responding to a general message.
We do not:
- Sell, rent or trade your information to anyone
- Share it with advertisers, data brokers or analytics companies
- Add you to a mailing list because you emailed us
- Use it to build a profile of you, or to follow you across other websites
- Use it for automated decision making of any kind
The exception, and the only one, is where the law requires us to disclose something. We would rather tell you than not, where we are permitted to.
Log Files
We do not run logging on this website and we have no log analysis tool attached to it. There is no application server of ours to write a log in the first place.
Our hosting provider handles the requests that reach it, and hosting providers ordinarily keep short technical logs for security and reliability. Logs of that kind can contain an IP address, a browser user agent string, a timestamp and the address of the page requested. We do not use this information for analytics, advertising or profiling, and we do not try to identify individual visitors from it.
Cookies and Web Beacons
This website does not use cookies. It does not set them and it does not read them. It also does not use local storage or session storage to keep anything about you on your device.
There are no web beacons, no tracking pixels, no session recording and no fingerprinting scripts on any page.
The typefaces are served from our own domain rather than from an outside font service. Loading a page here therefore does not tell any third party that you did.
Advertising Partners Privacy Policies
We do not have any. This website carries no advertising, so there are no ad networks, no ad servers and no advertising partners to list. Nothing on this site appears here because somebody paid for it to.
Third Party Privacy Policies
This website links out to places we do not control. That includes our game pages on Steam, the App Store, Google Play and itch.io, the separate websites for our own games, our blog on Medium, our jobs listing on LinkedIn, and our accounts on Twitter, YouTube and Instagram.
These are ordinary links. Nothing from those services is embedded in our pages, so none of them receive anything about you while you are reading this site. If you follow a link you are then on somebody else's website, where their privacy policy applies instead of this one. We suggest reading it.
For the record, a previous version of this website used Google Analytics. It was removed when the site was rebuilt and it is not present on any page of the current site.
CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)
Under California law, California residents have rights over the personal information a business collects about them. Those include the right to know what has been collected, the right to ask for it to be deleted, and the right to direct a business not to sell it.
We do not sell personal information and we never have. There is no "Do Not Sell" mechanism to operate here, because there is no sale to opt out of.
The only personal information we are likely to hold about you is an email you sent us. If you want to know what we have, or you want it deleted, write to contact@ngon.gg. We will confirm what we hold and act on your request within the time the law allows.
GDPR Data Protection Rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, data protection law gives you rights over personal data we hold about you. In practice, for this website, that means an email you sent us. You are entitled to the following:
- The right to access. You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to rectification. You can ask us to correct anything you believe is inaccurate, and to complete anything you believe is incomplete.
- The right to erasure. You can ask us to delete your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to restrict processing. You can ask us to limit how we use your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to object to processing. You can object to our use of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to data portability. You can ask us to transfer the data we hold to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
To exercise any of these, write to contact@ngon.gg. We will respond within one month. There is no charge for making a request. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority if you are not satisfied with how we handled it.
Children's Information
This website is not directed at children, and it does not collect information from anyone, children included. There is nothing on it for a child to fill in or sign up to.
We do not knowingly hold personal information from a child under the age of 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to contact@ngon.gg and we will delete it promptly.
We do encourage parents and guardians to take an interest in what their children do online, here and everywhere else.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy. When we do, the new version is posted on this page and the last updated date at the top of the page changes with it. Changes take effect once they are posted.
There is no mailing list to notify you through, so please check this page if the answer matters to you.
